Stefanie Moshammer (b. 1988, Vienna) is a visual artist whose practice operates at the intersection of research, observation, and recreation. She works across mediums such as photography, moving images, text, installations, and book publishing. By blending personal experiences with social commentary, she constructs visual narratives that intertwine fictional and subjective elements. Her projects explore themes like social dynamics, economic influences, and human relationships, where memories, fantasies, anxieties, and sharp critiques of the status quo intertwine.
After graduating in Textile Design at the Fashion School Vienna, Moshammer received a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Photography at University of Art and Design in Linz and she attended the BA in Advanced Visual Storytelling at the Danish School of Media and Journalism. She also did a one-year study of Social and Cultural Anthropology.

She received numerous awards and prizes and her work has been featured in various print and online publications internationally. She has been exhibited throughout galleries and museums around Europe, the US, and Asia, among others at: Fotografiska New York, Gyeonggi Museum of Modern Art South Korea, Foam Photography Museum Amsterdam, Kunst Haus Vienna, Belvedere21 Vienna, C/O Berlin, Webber Gallery London, MAK - Museum of Applied Arts Vienna.
